Obsidem Games offers unique and interactive live-action adventure games in which players become active participants in our stories and must work as a team to solve intriguing problems, escape from precarious situations, and unravel the plot before time runs out!
Inspired by video games, TV shows and movies, our goal is to bring these experiences to life and challenge you in a thrilling way, all while giving you a sense of total immersion, using only the most realistic environments we could build.
How does it all work? Before participating in one of our scenarios, your team will be briefed on the story, your roles and objectives, but once you’re inside the game - you’re on your own! You’ll need to explore your surroundings, make use of logic and be relentlessly resourceful if you want to succeed.

In a few words: realism and logic.
If you were kidnapped in real life, would you have puzzles to solve in order to escape? No, you'd use your wits, ingenuity and objects around you. If you were in a Space Station, would you have to solve a Sudoku to open a locked door? Of course not.
When creating our games, we keep this logic in mind and strive to integrate puzzles, tasks and objectives that actually make sense within the context of the scenario. This allows us to create immersive adventures that play out more like a movie or a video game, rather then an escape room.

Q. Will I be locked in a room?
A. For some of our scenarios, depending on its theme, it's possible that you may be locked in a room. But not to worry, in case of emergencies, the door is easily opened and we have several cameras to look in on you.
Q. Are there different difficulty levels?
A. Our scenarios are built to be very challenging, however we are able to tweak the level of difficulty based on your preferences. We will offer you this option ahead of the game.
Q. What are my chances of succeeding?
A. Most of the players we encounter are overly confident in their ability to complete our games. Our scenarios are built to be very challenging and only a small percentage succeed. Even if you don't make it, we promise you'll have a great time and we're sure you'll even want to tempt your fate with our other scenarios!

Q. How much time will we need?
A. Depending on which scenario you choose, a normal game requires between 20 and 90 minutes. However, we ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your reserved slot so that we can explain the rules of the game to you, and that you reserve another 15 minutes after the game is over for a debrief.
Q. I noticed cameras in the rooms. Are you recording us?
A. The cameras in the room are only used to supervise the game and for safety purposes. We do not record the games, nor do we sell videos to participants.
Q. How often are the scenarios updated?
A. Our scenarios are updated once a year or so. Contact us if you've played before and you would like to be informed when our scenarios are updated, or follow us on our Facebook page.
Q. Is this scary? Will anything jump out at me?
A. There's nothing to scare you in our games, unless it's specifically mentionned in the description. Check the scenarios section for more info.
Q. I reserved a time but now I can't make it. Can I reschedule my reservation or cancel?
A. If for any reason you cannot make it to your reserved time slot, please advise us by phone or email, at least 48 hours or more in advance, so that we can move your reservation to a new time slot.

Q. Do you allow walk-ins?
A. Yes, we allow walks-ins but only during time slots that have not already been reserved by participants online. To ensure that you get a spot, we highly recommend you reserve a time slot.
Q. Will I be paired with people I do not know?
A. If your group counts for less than the maximum number of players allowed in a room, there's always a chance that other players will join your team. To make sure you have a game all to yourself, you must reserve & pay for the maximum number of players allowed in the scenario.
Q. What if I break something?
A. Our rooms and puzzles are built to be sturdy, however Obsidem reserves all rights to seek indemnification should there is any deliberate attempt to cause damage of the tools, equipment and layout.
Q. Are there any age restrictions?
A. There are no age restrictions to our games! Adults and teens can enjoy them game, however we recommend that children be at least 12 years old to fully enjoy the experience. Please note that any child under the age of 16 needs to be accompagnied by at least one adult.
Q. I have a medical condition, should I be playing this game?
A. Although our rooms are quite safe, we recommend you check with your physician if you have any concerns or doubts before playing our game. Feel free to contact us directly if you need additional information.
